Gatwick Express offers dedicated, high-speed travel between central London and Gatwick Airport. With a journey time of just 30 minutes between London Victoria and Gatwick (35 minutes on Sundays), there is no faster way between the heart of the city and the airport.

Designed with the air traveller in mind you can be sure of an effortless transfer on the Gatwick Express, our Express Class carriages include:

  • Stylish, modern seating.
  • Air conditioning.
  • Friendly and helpful staff.
  • Complimentary magazine.
  • Luggage racks.

Gatwick Express is ideal to get to key locations within London. Connected to the London Underground by the Victoria, District and Circle lines, reaching your final destination should be easy. Gatwick Express trains leave from the airport's railway station in the heart of the South Terminal at Gatwick Airport. It's just a short walk from South Terminal arrivals. If your flight arrives in the North Terminal there is a free automatic rapid transit operating every 3 minutes with a journey time of two minutes to take you to South Terminal at the station.

Booking Procedure

Simply follow the easy booking steps on line and take the reference number given at the end of your booking transaction or the credit/debit card used to make the booking with you and board the train. Tell our Customer Service Representative that you have an e-ticket booked. They will then ask you for either the reference number given at the end of your booking transaction or the credit/debit card used to make the booking. It's as simple as that!

Please note: When purchasing tickets for more than one person, separate bookings will need to be made if all members of the party are not travelling together. Passengers travelling separately on either the outward or return journeys should make separate bookings and therefore receive a separate reference number.

e-Tickets cannot be redeemed on the same day as the booking is made.

Yes, we accept a wide range of major debit/credit cards including Amex, Delta, Mastercard, Switch and Visa. We accept Electron or Solo at the Gatwick Express Ticket Office but not on board the train.

Can I use my Travelcard on the train?
Period and Peak Day Travelcard tickets that have no validity outside the Travelcard Zones, may be used on Gatwick Express upon pre-purchase of a Gatwick Express routed extension from the relevant Boundary Zone point. This must be done prior to boarding and also applies to similar types of Travelcards from stations South of Gatwick that bear the endorsement "Not Gatwick Express".

Extension payments can not be made on any type of Off Peak Day Travelcard. These tickets have no validity at all on Gatwick Express.

No, full price tickets are available for use on any service.

Do I need to book in advance?
No, due to the high frequency of Gatwick Express services, reservations are not required.
