  1. I'm not sure about Driving on the right?
Most people who are used to driving on the left feel apprehensive about changing sides, but with very few exceptions the change is made without a hitch. Just remember that roundabouts are negotiated counter clockwise! Cars are usually shared so, if you are one of the 3 drivers allowed on a hire contract, you will have the chance to be passenger / navigator first, to build your confidence

  2. How do I go about Hiring a car?
We can put you in touch with one of our associates before you arrive. It may be a good idea to book ahead if you are coming at a popular time.

  3. Can I wait and share a car with others when I arrive?
Yes. A lot of people traveling on their own arrange to share a car once they have arrived. It is also possible to hire a car ahead and share the expenses with other(s) when you arrive.

  4. Is air conditioning necessary in a car?
Not necessarily, depending on your susceptibilities. In the height of the summer however, air conditioning is a boon,. You can always compromise by hiring a car with a sun-shine roof. A budget car without either is also a valid option. Most people opt for a basic car with power steering and these are usually newer cars.

  5. What's the connection between car hire and the animal charity?
We have arranged to donate 10% of each hiring fee to the local charity which supports the homeless and sick animals of the island for whom there is no government provision.

  6. What are the roads like?
The quality of roads is extremely high; better than you may expect for a desert island! Outside the main population areas, there is a lot of space and relatively few cars.

  7. Can I not just rely on buses and taxis?
This is not a practical proposition.

  8. Can I hire a scooter or a bike?
This has hardly ever taken place to date as scooter hire is not much cheaper than cars and a lot less safe. If you want to cycle we can suggest some organised trips.

  9. What if i can't drive i am single and can't drive will there be transport for me to use
We collect you at the airport and, there is the likelihood of arranging to share the cost of a car with other guests, even though you don't actually drive.
